Simone' LaRay, a mother of two, is dedicated to establishing her own name and brand to inspire and uplift her community. She is the author of two remarkable books: "A Black Girl's Diary," a poetic memoir healing journal, and "Hey Sis," a self-help affirmations journal with haikus and writing prompts.
She is also the Founder of The Poetry Lounge, a creative platform for all to open their minds, share their heart, and speak their truth. Each event is curated with intentional themes and goals of Building Community through The Arts.
With a decade of experience in education, she also aims to develop a creative mentorship and outreach program for youth in the future.

Looking for good vibes? Looking for a place where your voice can be heard? The Poetry Lounge is the place to be! It was the love, warmth, and welcoming vibes for me! I felt that just from texting the open mic line! And now we’re family! I made my first debut on stage at the Lounge. I felt encouraged and left excited about returning to the stage again. Not only did I perform but I was able to enjoy an awesome atmosphere with great music, a delightful host, dim lights and a relaxing Friday night after a long work week! And by the way… When Simone’ says “I can’t wait to meet you”; it’s not just a line, she means it! Come see for yourself! 💕
